The annual meetings of the Lambda Iota Housing Corporation and the Alpha Graduate Chapter were held prior to Pig Dinner on February 23.
House Corporation updates include:
- Summary of past maintenance, including completion of a three-year project to install new walls, ceilings, light fixtures, carpet, oak crown molding, baseboards, doors and door trim as well as electronic combination locks for all rooms on 2nd and 3rd floors.
- Summer plans to completely remodel both bathrooms have been put on hold until after the feasibility study.
- Plans to revise the Board of Chapter Advisors to provide more guidance to the undergraduate chapter. Immediate needs are in the area of graduate relations, particularly selecting advisors for the Boilermaker Fiji, as well as establishing a graduate brother as co-chairman for Pig Dinner.
- Discussion of the future location for Pig Dinner, since the cost for the dinner is much greater since we began using the Ross-Ade Pavilions. It was the consensus that the nearby location, quality of the venue and food outweigh the additional cost we must charge in the future.
Alpha Graduate Chapter updates include:
- Outline of activities which include dinner meetings with the pledge class, new leadership, seniors near graduation and a summer family picnic.
- Monthly meeting are held the first Friday of each month at Spurlock's restaurant on Main Street in Lafayette. Everyone is welcome to attend.
- The 2014 Ekklesia which is to be held in Indianapolis July 24-27, 2014.
