Q: Why did you join Fiji in the first place?
A:  I joined the house because the brothers had a genuine interest in me and went out of their way to make me feel like they wanted me to be one of their brothers.

Q: What’s your favorite memory from your time in the chapter?
A: Too many to list.  Of course, Fiji Island parties were always eventful, but so were many things in just the day-to-day living in the fraternity.

Q: Do you still keep in touch with any of your brothers? Who?
A: Yes.  Darrin Sheetz ’89, John Coghlan ’89, John Noel ’89 and I have been on a golf trip together for almost every year since the mid 1990’s.  I also see and get together with others who are around the Indianapolis area a few times a year.

Q: Tell us about the company you work for and your role there.
A: I am a partner in two different machine tool distributorships. I do sales and run the financial portion of both companies.

Q: How did your time in Fiji help to prepare you for that role?
A: It taught me to get along with and appreciate many different personalities.  This has been a tremendous benefit in dealing with all different types of customers.

Q: What have you been up to since graduation?
A: Raising a family and running the businesses.

Q: Tell us about your family/hobbies.
A: I have two sons.  One will be a freshman at Purdue and the other will be a freshman in high school. I enjoy golf and spending time at the lake entertaining and relaxing.

Q: What advice would you give to future generations of Fiji members?
A: Treasure your time there.  You are creating memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.  Be involved and experience as much as you can while at school.  The experience you gain will transfer into your career and life.
